Brazilian restaurant chain Boteco do Manolo is expanding its U.S. footprint, opening its first Tampa location at 7990 Citrus Park Town Ctr Blvd, Tampa, FL 33625. The restaurant will begin welcoming guests around August 20th, pending final confirmation.

“We are thrilled to bring authentic Brazilian food to Tampa,” said Marcelo Barcia Riveiro, CEO of Boteco do Manolo. Suyen Horta, the brand’s Chief Operating Officer, will oversee the Tampa operations, working closely with franchise owners Cintia Mesquita, Raquel Muniz, Marcelo Reis, and Helessandro Reis, all seasoned entrepreneurs from Brazil.

The new spot is about 6,800 square feet and is located near Elev8 Fun inside Citrus Park Town Center. It can seat up to 300 people, has a 360-degree bar, and an area for live music. They’ve completely transformed what used to be Carponetto Italian into a lively place full of Brazilian vibes and energy.

“Our goal is to create a space where Brazilians feel at home, with hearty food, good music, and that relaxed, joyful atmosphere only Brazil can offer. We also hope to win over local diners by showing that Brazilian cuisine goes far beyond feijoada and barbecue,” Riveiro said in a press release.

Live music will be scheduled every Friday and Saturday, with potential for more nights depending on local demand. “Brazilians are fun people. They like to party, right?” Horta told Business Debut.

The menu will include over 140 items showcasing culinary influences from all regions of Brazil and includes seafood, pizza, pasta, appetizers, and entrées. Among the signature dishes are Bolinho de Feijoada, Picanha ao Molho de Catupiry, and Bobó de Camarão. Guests can also enjoy Brazil’s famous chopp zero grau—an ultra-cold draft beer served in frozen glasses at 32°F. Boteco do Manolo will be open daily, but the exact hours will be finalized ahead of the grand opening. The team promises a festive launch event and plans to distribute invitations in the coming weeks.

Boteco do Manolo started over 22 years ago in Rio de Janeiro and now has 12 locations across Brazil. Since 2019, they’ve been growing here in the U.S., and the new Tampa spot will be their fifth in Florida, joining their other restaurants in Orlando, Windermere, Deerfield Beach, and North Miami Beach.
