Cowy Burger Opening a Second Location
Known for its signature burgers and bacon jam, the concept is targeting a late 2026 opening.
DORAL, FL — Cowy Burger, the Miami smash burger concept from Diego J. Machicao, Guillermo Felipe, Carlos Reveron and Daniel Machicao, is planning a second location at 8400 NW 53rd Street, Doral, FL 33166. Machicao told Business Debut the team is targeting an opening at the end of the year or beginning of next year, with December looking promising.
The brand’s first brick-and-mortar opened in Wynwood at 223 NW 23rd St. after the team built a following through pop-ups, Machicao told Business Debut. Cowy Burger was founded by high school friends from Caracas, Venezuela, including Machicao and his younger brother Daniel.
What to Expect
The Doral restaurant will be a new build and the brand’s second location. Machicao said the team is using what it learned from Wynwood to create a more comfortable customer experience, while keeping the same fast-casual service style.
Guests will order at the counter and have food brought to them, Machicao told Business Debut. The space is expected to have about 28 seats with diner-style booths.
“It’s going to be like a fun place to be,” Machicao told Business Debut. “At the end, you just want to hang out with your friends or hang out with your family in a comfortable setting.”
Menu and Vision
Cowy Burger’s menu will include its signature Cowy Burger with American cheese, bacon jam, grilled onions and Cowy sauce, along with the Cabrito Burger, Chicken Chaser Burger, Carbo Croquettes and cookies and cream milkshake with Nutella, Machicao told Business Debut.
The current menu also lists items including the Craver Burger, Pickle Rick Burger, Grand Slam Burger, Oklahoma Burger, waffle fries, bacon cheese fries, truffle fries and sweet potato waffle fries.
Machicao said the Cowy Burger and Cabrito Burger are fan favorites, with bacon jam as one of the brand’s signature ingredients.
The brand won Burger Bash in 2024 and was named a 2024 Best New Restaurant by The Infatuation, Machicao told Business Debut. Cowy Burger’s website also notes recognition from The Infatuation, SOBEWFF and The Hungry Post.
“We own everything to the community,” Machicao told Business Debut. “We are here to serve the community. We’re happy to be part of the community, and we’re always going to give back the same way that the community has given to us.”
Opening Timeline
The team is targeting the end of the year or beginning of next year for the Doral opening, with December currently looking promising, Machicao told Business Debut.
Hours
Cowy Burger plans to open seven days a week. Machicao told Business Debut the team expects to open at 11 a.m. and serve until at least midnight, with late-night weekend hours still being finalized.
