Baxter’s Doghouse Bringing an off Leash Dog Park and Tiki Bar to Stuart
Guests can also expect food trucks, pickleball, and live music when Baxter's Doghouse opens.
STUART, Fla. — Baxter’s Doghouse is targeting a March 26 opening at 1240 NW Federal Highway, Stuart, FL 34994, owner Dr. Michael Slobasky told Business Debut.
The concept combines an off-leash dog park with a tiki bar, live music, food trucks, pickleball, and dog-focused services. Slobasky said the business was created to give local dog owners a place where their pets can play while they relax.
What to Expect
Baxter’s Doghouse sits on about 1.5 acres and is designed to make visits as easy as possible. Guests can pull into a valet-style circle, get checked in with their dog, and head into the off-leash area.
Inside, the space will include a tiki bar with about 40 seats, plus additional seating, benches, umbrellas, cabanas, and lawn space near a concert stage. Slobasky said guests can expect bar service, beer tubs placed throughout the dog park area, and VIP cabanas with server assistance.
The property is also expected to host live music and dog adoption events in partnership with local shelters. Slobasky said he hopes the venue will become a place where people can relax and connect with the community.
Menu and Vision
The beverage program will start with beer, wine, and wine-based liquor options, with full liquor potentially added later. Food will come from rotating food trucks, and the property will also offer coffee drinks including espresso and cappuccinos.
Slobasky said the broader vision is to create a one-stop destination for busy dog owners. In addition to social space for people and pets, he said the business plans to offer doggy daycare and services such as grooming and vet visits.
The business is named after Slobasky’s dog, Baxter, who died at age 14. He told Business Debut he has always loved dogs and wanted to build something meaningful for the Stuart and Martin County community.
Opening Timeline
Baxter’s Doghouse is targeting a March 26 opening. Slobasky said final preparations are underway ahead of debut.
Hours
The business plans to operate daily from 7 a.m.—11 p.m. Slobasky said doggy daycare will also be available during the day.
