NEW PORT RICHEY, FL - 5PM Moments, a new Asian fusion bento concept from owner Yunzhong Chen, is targeting a March opening at 8528 Ridge Rd, New Port Richey, FL 34654, Chen told Business Debut. The restaurant is designed to offer convenient, healthier meals for families and working professionals at the end of the day.

What to Expect

5PM Moments is built around the idea of simplifying dinnertime for busy households. Chen said the concept focuses on ready-made meals that allow guests to spend more time with family instead of worrying about what to cook after work.

The restaurant will operate primarily as a takeout-focused concept, with limited dine-in seating for about 20 to 30 guests. A drive-thru pickup option will also be available for online orders, allowing customers to collect meals without leaving their cars.

The menu centers on Asian fusion bento-style meals designed to be both filling and balanced. Offerings will include teppanyaki-style plates with proteins such as chicken, shrimp, and beef, along with rotating seasonal bento selections inspired by different cuisines and holidays.

Additional menu items will include ramen, noodle dishes, wings, and soups, with warmer options featured during cooler seasons. Chen said the goal is to create “smart meals” that are simple, flavorful, and offer healthier choices for everyday dining.

Ownership and Experience

While this marks Chen’s first restaurant concept in Florida, he brings more than 15 years of restaurant experience to the project. He also noted a personal interest in health and wellness, which has influenced the menu’s emphasis on balanced meal options.

The team is targeting a March 1 opening, pending final preparations.

5PM Moments plans to operate Tuesday through Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. The restaurant will be closed on Mondays. Hours may be adjusted in the future pending plaza approvals.
