Ami Ami Café and Cultural Space Coming to Coral Gables
Ami Ami will open in early spring 2026, offering Mediterranean-inspired dishes alongside art, books, and music.
CORAL GABLES, FL — A new café and cultural space called Ami Ami is coming soon to 318 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables, FL 33134.
The project was recently highlighted by The Burn Miami, which reported that the city approved an artistic façade for the upcoming restaurant. Co-owner Milena Damchevski told Business Debut the team is targeting a February or March 2026 opening.
What to Expect
Ami Ami will blend dining with art, books, and music in what Damchevski described as “an experience for all senses.”
The space will feature full service dining for breakfast and lunch, along with coffee, pastries, and light takeaway items. In the evening from 5–8 p.m., guests can expect curated boards and a featured dish. The restaurant will seat about 48 guests indoors.
Menu and Concept
The menu will center around Mediterranean-inspired dishes with global influences, offering breakfast and lunch options such as acai bowls, wraps, and seasonal plates.
“The idea was really to bring not just food but also books, music, and art to live under one roof,” Damchevski told Business Debut. “We wanted to create a space where people can linger, feel at home, and enjoy all aspects of culture.”
Ami Ami will also serve beer and wine, with a license currently in process.
Family and Name Inspiration
Ami Ami is a family project created by Milena Damchevski and her husband, Dusan Drakalski, who bring backgrounds in psychology and advertising to the venture.
Their two children, Luka and Noah, also played a role in developing the concept and choosing the name. “Ami means ‘friend’ in French, and in Hebrew it means ‘my people,’” Damchevski told Business Debut. “In Spanish, ‘Ami Ami’ sounds like ‘in Miami,’ and when our kids said it sounded like ‘yummy yummy,’ we knew it was perfect.”
Opening Timeline
The team is aiming to open in early spring 2026, with final details still to be determined.
Hours
The restaurant plans to operate from 9 a.m.–8 p.m., six days a week.
