All-Day Coffee, Wine, And Flowers Concept Opening in Sarasota
Treehouse Flowers, Coffee, and Wine is planing to open before Mother’s Day.
SARASOTA, FL — Treehouse Flowers, Coffee & Wine is preparing to open at 1551 Lakefront Dr, Unit 102, Sarasota, FL 34240. Co-owner Anna Langlais told Business Debut the team is targeting an opening the weekend before Mother’s Day on May 8th.
What to Expect
Treehouse is designed as an all-day gathering place where guests can stop in for coffee and pastries in the morning, then return later for wine, light bites, and flowers. The menu will include coffee drinks, baked goods, and breakfast sandwiches prepared in-house, along with charcuterie boards, small plates, and wine in the afternoon and evening.
Guests will find a retail component integrated into the space, including fresh flower bouquets and a small boutique featuring natural-fabric clothing. Service will be primarily counter-based, with seating for about 33 to 35 guests indoors and an additional 8 seats outside on their patio.
Menu and Vision
The concept blends brunch-style offerings throughout the day with wine and champagne service, allowing guests to enjoy breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and even mimosas without strict time limits. “We essentially serve brunch every day,” Langlais told Business Debut, adding that the menu will evolve based on community feedback.
Wine and champagne are positioned as an extension of the relaxed daytime atmosphere, transitioning naturally into an early evening happy hour setting with charcuterie and light bites.
Ownership and Roles
Treehouse is owned and operated by Anna Langlais, her husband Scott Langlais, and their daughter Sheena Storek. Each brings a distinct background and role to the business.
Anna, an interior designer with a long history of entrepreneurship, leads the overall design, boutique, and wine program. “The challenge was creating a space where you can come in from the gym for coffee without it feeling too fancy as a wine bar,” she told Business Debut, describing a layout that transitions subtly from a coffee-forward front area into a wine-focused atmosphere deeper in the space.
Scott Langlais brings operational and coffee expertise shaped by his time cooking in the Army, working in a test kitchen at Olive Garden, and years in contracting and accounting. He told Business Debut that the idea of opening a coffee shop has stayed with him since college, when a business course sparked his interest in the concept. “With Sheena’s loving, gentle, consistent prodding, it finally turned into something real,” he said. For Langlais, Treehouse represents the realization of a long-held goal supported by his family’s encouragement.
Sheena Storek brings a background in hospitality and event planning and will oversee floral design, day-to-day management and social media. She told Business Debut that her vision for Treehouse grew out of years spent building relationships across Sarasota and a desire to create a space where those connections could live in one place.
“I really wanted to create a space where people felt relaxed coming together, with all their favorite things in one place,” she said, adding that Treehouse is about welcoming familiar faces daily and fostering genuine community.
For Storek, the goal is to shift from attending events around town to creating a place where the community can gather naturally, making Treehouse a neighborhood touchpoint rather than just a destination.
