Smalls Sliders
EVANS, GA — Smalls Sliders franchise owners Madison Tuten, Doug Puryear, and Brian Smith are moving forward with the first two restaurants in a five-location development deal across the Augusta, GA, and South Carolina markets. The Evans, Georgia location is expected to break ground this summer.
Dekalb County
D'Pana
DORAVILLE, GA — D'Pana, a Venezuelan-American restaurant and sports bar concept from owner Astrik Nataly Rodriguez Rincon, is preparing to open at 7130 Buford Hwy NE b130, Doraville, GA 30340. The restaurant is currently under development, with the team working toward opening in about two months, Rodriguez Rincon told Business Debut.
Fulton County
Boiler Room
ATLANTA, GA — A new speakeasy-style bar called The Boiler Room is planned for Upper West Market at 1385 Collier Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318. Owner Kraig Torres told Business Debut the concept will be operated by the Hop City team and is targeting a mid-to-late May opening, following the debut of the broader Upper West Market.
Island Seafood Market and Oyster Bar
ATLANTA, GA — Island Seafood Market and Oyster Bar is planning to open at Upper Westside Market at 1385 Collier Road NW, Atlanta, GA 30318. Owner Ingram Boykins told Business Debut the concept will combine a seafood market with a dedicated raw oyster bar focused exclusively on oysters.
Spice
ATLANTA, GA — Spice, the contemporary global fusion restaurant founded by Nana Atakora-Bediako and his brother Baff Atakora-Bediako, is preparing to open a new location at 1230 W Peachtree St NW Suite 130, Atlanta, GA 30309. The restaurant is targeting an April opening in Midtown, Atakora-Bediako told Business Debut.
Gwinnett County
Alta Brasa Tacos
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Alta Brasa Tacos is preparing to open at 102 Stanley Ct Suite A & B, Lawrenceville, GA 30046, bringing a Brazilian and Mexican taco fusion concept to Gwinnett County. Co-owner Marlene Servin told Business Debut the restaurant is targeting an early next month opening.
Chic’s Bakery
NORCROSS, GA — Chic’s Bakery is preparing to open a second location at 5510 Spalding Drive Unit C, Norcross, Georgia, 30092. Owner Brian Chic told Business Debut the team is finishing interior details and is hoping to open by the end of March if final preparations stay on track. The Norcross shop will expand on the concept from the original Panaderia Chic’s Bakery in Doraville.
Porterhouse Grill
BUFORD, GA — Porterhouse Grill is preparing to open a new restaurant at 3217 Buford Dr, Buford, GA 30519, directly in front of Macy’s at the Mall of Georgia. Ownership told Business Debut the restaurant is targeting an opening around April 15th, pending final licensing approvals.
