Between a new vegan eatery, a Pinecrest Bakery, a Mediterranean concept, and a late night souse spot, we've got restaurant news for everyone in Palm Beach County.

Vegan 27

Address: 1665 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd A15, Riviera Beach, FL 33404

Status: Coming soon. Soft launch after state licensing; grand opening to follow.

What to expect: A refreshed vegan soul-food spot with Asian, Afro, Caribbean, and American influences. Hot-table daily specials and an overhauled interior.

Menu highlights: Whole-food–first dishes with limited meat substitutes; signature “Save Your Life Salad.”

Hours: TBA. Breakfast service will be tested first; themed days (anime Monday, family-style Sunday) under consideration.

Who’s behind it: Owner Haggith Edwards with brother/partner Aman Israel. The team plans to fine-tune based on community feedback.

718 Cafe & Grill

Address: 716 U.S. Rte 1, Tequesta, FL 33469

Status: Soft opening soon, grand opening to follow.

What to expect: A New York–style diner with 221 seats, booths and tables, a 50–60 person private room, and an outdoor tiki lounge with entertainment.

Menu highlights: Omelets, pancakes, French toast, wraps, paninis, burgers, shakes—plus apple-cinnamon French toast and baklava pancakes.

Hours: Mon–Thu 7 a.m.–9 p.m.; Fri–Sun 7 a.m.–10 p.m.

Who’s behind it: Owners Peter Stellatos and Jerry Damoulianos, with additional investors. Built on their Queens/Brooklyn diner roots.

La Marsa

Address: 13800 S Jog Rd #101, Delray Beach, FL 33446

Status: Coming soon, pending final inspections; soft opening first.

What to expect: Fine-dining Mediterranean ambiance (~5,000 sq. ft., ~150 seats) with a private event room and planned entertainment (belly dancing, live instruments).

Menu highlights: Halal options; 72-hour–marinated New Zealand lamb chops; house-made pita and hummus; hearty lentil soup.

Hours: Daily 10 a.m.–10 p.m. No full bar at launch.

Who’s behind it: Managing partner Yousif Elsebaei. Florida growth aims to mirror the brand’s steady Michigan expansion.

Souse House of the Palm Beach

Address: 1510 N Sapodilla Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33401

Status: Grand opening targeted for January 2026; limited weekend service operating during buildout/licensing.

What to expect: Neighborhood bar adding a kitchen focused on souse (Florida/island-style soup). Beer and wine initially; full-liquor path under evaluation.

Menu highlights: Pork, chicken, fish, and holiday turkey souse; wings and fries; pork-chop sandwiches; burgers; occasional frog legs and conch fritters.

Hours: Currently weekends ~12 p.m.–7 p.m. Expanded, later hours planned post-permits.

Pinecrest Bakery

Status: Opening targeted for Q2–Q3 2026.

What to expect: ~3,000-sq.-ft. fast-casual Cuban-American bakery with 20–30 seats and full 24/7 service. Grab-and-go plus dine-in.

Menu highlights: 27+ sandwiches; croquetas; pastelitos (guava, cheese, coconut); café con leche. Commissary-backed consistency across locations.

Hours: Open 24 hours, seven days a week.

Who’s behind it: Owner Efrain Valdes Jr. ~35 locations across South Florida; strong community programs and charitable partnerships.
