Status: Opening soon!

What to expect: Small fast-casual bagel shop near the south end of Siesta Key. Limited indoor seating plus shared outdoor courtyard seating. Online ordering will support beach-bound grab-and-go traffic.

Menu highlights: Fresh daily New York-style bagels with house-made cream cheeses. Salmon toppings, espresso drinks and canned-to-order cold brew are planned.

Hours: Planned daily 7 a.m.–3 p.m.

Who’s behind it: Restaurateur Robert DeSilvio, who also operates Casa Masa locations.

What to expect: Revival of a nostalgic Sarasota drive-in concept. Counter ordering and kiosks with dine-in, takeout, delivery and catering options.

Menu highlights: Classic burgers, fries, onion rings and milkshakes designed to remain affordable and familiar.

Hours: Targeting daily 11 a.m. openings with evening closings around 7–8 p.m.

Who’s behind it: Majority owner Troy King with partner Dimitris Syros.

Hanami Japanese Fine Dining & Lounge — Rosemary District

Status: Opening timeline pending final approvals.

What to expect: Full-service Japanese restaurant paired with a cocktail lounge inside a restored historic building. Initial seating for roughly 135 guests with future expansions planned.

Menu highlights: Vegan sushi, hibachi dishes cooked tableside and filet-focused steak options. Pineapple fried rice and Korean short rib round out the menu.

Hours: Planned seven-day service with extended weekend hours.

Status: Targeting an opening just before Mother’s Day.

What to expect: All-day café concept blending coffee service, wine bar offerings and a floral retail boutique. Counter-service format with indoor seating and a small patio.

Menu highlights: Coffee drinks, pastries and breakfast sandwiches in the morning. Charcuterie boards, champagne and small plates later in the day.

Hours: Weekday openings at 7 a.m. with varied evening closing times.

Who’s behind it: Family-run by Anna and Scott Langlais with daughter Sheena Storek.
