The first two are projects coming soon, and the last one is open for business, so check them out.
Double Dippin’ — Holly Hill
Address: 235 Riverside Dr Suite 85, Holly Hill, FL 32117
Status: Targeting a December opening. An exact date is still to be announced.
What to expect: Award-winning food truck Double Dippin’ is preparing its first brick-and-mortar restaurant in Holly Hill. Owner Alyssa Allred has operated the food truck for four years and is building the restaurant around the birria-focused menu that helped the truck gain its following.
Menu highlights: Birria beef and chicken served in tacos, grilled cheese sandwiches, quesadillas and ramen bowls. Allred said the concept originally tested a broader menu before customer demand pushed Double Dippin’ toward a tighter birria-centered identity.
Space details: The restaurant will include about 1,600 square feet inside plus a 700-square-foot lanai. Seating is expected to include about five tables indoors and six tables outside, while much of the interior will be used for a larger kitchen, walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer.
More to know: Double Dippin’ sits next to Riverside Park, and Allred is working with Southern Fellow, a local songwriters and musicians collective, on ticketed park events. Guests would be able to eat at Double Dippin’ before or during nearby shows.
Who’s behind it: Owner Alyssa Allred, a single mother of twins with 21 years of kitchen experience. The business name comes from her twin daughters.

Two Jerks Tiki Bar & Grill — Port Orange
Address: 79 Dunlawton Avenue, Port Orange, FL 32127
Status: Targeting a late 2026 opening. November or December is the earliest current window, with February or March also possible depending on project progress.
What to expect: Waterfront tiki-style restaurant and grill planned for the longtime former DJ’s Deck property. Owner Michael Freeman’s family has owned the site since the late 1980s and previously operated a seafood retail market there under the Two Jerks name.
Menu highlights: Hamburgers, smash burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, fried fish sandwiches and steamed shrimp. The team also plans to offer seafood sourced through the family’s commercial fishing operation.
Seafood approach: Freeman said the menu will include both fresh local fish and more affordable domestic seafood options. The goal is to keep the restaurant price-conscious while still giving guests a casual waterfront seafood experience.
Space details: The team is removing the existing tiki hut and replacing it with a larger structure. Plans also call for expanding the restaurant’s waterfront footprint.
Atmosphere: Expect a relaxed tiki bar and grill designed for locals, vacationers, race visitors and families looking for a meal on the water. Guests may also see commercial boats unloading at the dock.
Who’s behind it: Owner Michael Freeman and the family behind the Two Jerks seafood operation.
