PORT ORANGE, FL — Two Jerks Tiki Bar & Grill is in development at 79 Dunlawton Avenue, Port Orange, FL 32127, bringing a refreshed tiki-style restaurant concept to the longtime waterfront site, owner Michael Freeman told Business Debut.

The restaurant will occupy and expand the former DJ's Deck property, which Freeman's family has owned since the late 1980s. The family previously operated a seafood retail market there under the Two Jerks name until closing it on January 1. The commercial wholesale operation is still operating.

What to Expect

The menu will center on accessible comfort food and seafood. Planned items include hamburgers, smash burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, fried fish sandwiches, and steamed shrimp.

Two Jerks Tiki Bar & Grill will source much of its seafood from the family's commercial fishing operation. Freeman said they plan to offer both fresh local fish and lower-priced domestic options, possibly including species such as flounder or product from farther north, along with commonly used bassa.

Freeman said the goal is a price-conscious menu that allows guests to order seafood and other staples without what he called "absurd" pricing.

Freeman described the concept as a tiki bar and grill on the water with a casual atmosphere. The team is removing the existing tiki hut and building a larger structure. They also plan to extend the restaurant's waterfront footprint.

The restaurant aims to serve vacationers, locals, and race visitors looking for a family meal on the water, Freeman told Business Debut. Guests may see commercial boats unloading at the dock during their visit.

Opening Timeline

Engineering work has delayed the original schedule, Freeman told Business Debut. He said the team is targeting a late 2026 opening, with a current range of November or December as an earliest window and February or March as a possibility.
