BROWARD COUNTY

Tea Leaf & Creamery

A franchise based out of the Atlanta-area is bringing handmade boba teas and desserts to Hallandale, co-franchisee Cynthia Varvai told FFBW. Tea Leaf & Creamery is known for providing high-quality boba teas brewed fresh each day.

The new cafe and creamery will open in July or August, Varvai said. They are under construction currently at: 601 N Federal Hwy #111, Hallandale Beach, FL 33009.

PALM BEACH COUNTY

3 Natives

A new location of the açaí bowl and smoothie brand 3 Natives is opening in Royal Palm Beach, franchisee Elizabeth Quinones told FFBW.

The new location, Quinones said, is planned to open this fall at: 1192 Royal Palm Beach Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411. Quinones reported that they recently submitted permits and hope to begin remodeling soon. Once completed, they will have space to seat around 20 guests.

They will be open seven days a week, Quinones said. Monday - Friday 7 am - 7 pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 8 am - 5 pm.

Rocket Subs

A local food truck is expanding into a brick and mortar business, owner Ryan Laggini told FFBW. The storefront is coming very soon to Delray Beach; Laggini estimates opening in a week or two.

Laggini reported that the storefront was just the right opportunity, as he had recently opened the food truck and wasn't expecting to expand so quickly. Rocket Subs will be opening at: 15200 Jog Rd, Delray Beach, FL 33446. They will have around 20-25 seats in the space.

The truck will continue to operate once the store is opened. Watch out for Rocket Subs soon.

CHARLOTTE COUNTY

Jellybird Cafe and Bakery

A new bakery and cafe is preparing to open very soon in Punta Gorda, owner Reeta McCauley told FFBW.

Jellybird Bakery and Cafe will be a breakfast and lunch spot opening at: 1133 Bal Harbor Blvd #1133, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. McCauley reported that they will be open six days a week during the off season from 7 am - 2:30 pm.

The menu will include salads, soups, sandwiches, and other made from scratch dishes. Expect also wine and beer to enjoy during lunch. McCauley estimates opening in two weeks.

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY

S&R Caribbean Delight

A new Caribbean food truck is opening in Vero Beach soon, owners Roger and Sakena Walker told FFBW. S&R Caribbean Delight will likely open on the first of June.

The Walkers reported that they will serve curry chicken, jerk chicken, lemon pepper chicken, rice and pease and more.

ORANGE COUNTY

Grillers Latin Fusion

The third location of Grillers Latin Fusion is coming to the Orlando area soon, owner Jose Martin confirmed with FFBW. Grillers Latin Fusion has two other locations in Orlando.

Martin shared that they will open toward the end of June if all continues as planned. They are rebuilding a former restaurant space at: 2140 S Chickasaw Trail, Orlando, FL 32825.

Dee's Quick Fix

A new ghost kitchen is opening soon in Orlando, owner D'Angelo Mitchell told FFBW. Dee's Quick Fix started at a catering and private chef business that Mitchell founded during the pandemic. Now, Dee's Quick Fix is preparing to debut in the Dollins Food Hall.

Mitchell reported to FFBW that they will specialize in Alfredo pasta, chicken wings, fries, rice bowls and more. The full menu is available here. Guests will be able to order on the linked site or on other platforms like DoorDash.

A Lo Cubano

The A Lo Cubano food truck is preparing to move into the imminent Great Southern Box Food Hall, co-owner Yohan Gonzalez told FFBW. A Lo Cubano will continue serving its classic menu of Cuban food, and Gonzalez said that they will likely add a couple of new items as well.

An opening date hasn't been set yet, Gonzalez said. The food hall as a whole is still getting some red tape taken care of. Once opened, A Lo Cubano will operate 7 days a week at: 2105 N Orange Blossom Trl, Orlando, FL 32804.

Gonzelez share that the truck will continue operating as normal once they open in the Great Southern Box Food Hall.

SEMINOLE COUNTY

Yao's

A contemporary Chinese restaurant is coming to Oviedo, owner Georgia Yiu told FFBW. According to a press release Yiu provided, Yao's will "delight locals and visitors alike with its innovative approach to Chinese cuisine and beverages, as well as a chic ambiance."

The new restaurant is slated to open this summer at: 15 Alafaya Woods Blvd Suite 107, Oviedo, FL 32765.

Naavies Frozen Yogurt

A new and independent frozen yogurt business is opening in Sanford soon, owner Steven Rosario told FFBW. Naavies Frozen Yogurt will be opening this summer, Rosario said.

The shop will be located at: 200 W Lake Mary Blvd, Sanford, FL 32773. Rosario reported that there will be indoor and outdoor seating. The business will also have a small play area for the kids to hang out while the adults relax. Expect 12 seats around tables. Outside, there will be another four to six seats.

At any given time, they will have 10 flavors to choose from. There will be staple flavors and rotating ones.

Keep an eye out for Naavies Frozen Yogurt to open toward the end of June.

LAKE COUNTY

Holy Shmokes

The Villages is getting a new cigar lounge and bar soon, co-owner Natalie Pascarella told FFBW. The shop will also be owned by Pascarella's husband Lawrence Fagan.

Fagan is opening Holy Shmokes after a 12 year health related hiatus from the cigar business. Now, Fagan is stepping back into the industry by bringing Holy Shmokes to: 1521 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, FL 32159.

Hibachi Jose Restaurant

A new Japanese-style restaurant is coming to the Leesburg area, owner Jose Sandoval told FFBW.

The restaurant is planning to open soon, Sandoval said. They're readying their space at: 2535 W Main St, Leesburg, FL 34748. The restaurant will have around 25 seats.

Expect Hibachi Jose to open in a couple of weeks.

SUMTER COUNTY

The Yardery

Several new locations are in the works for the Yardery, the restaurant and entertainment brand that got its start in Sanford. Since debuting in greater Orlando in 2021, The Yardery has been drawing up plans for three more restaurants.

San Valentino Italian Food Hall and Market

A new Italian market and food hall is coming to St. Petersburg via entrepreneur Julius Nasso. San Valentino will bring dining, shopping, wine tasting, and cooking lessons, Nasso told FFBW.

The hall be operated by Big City Hospitality. The indoor space of the concept will total 13,000+ square feet, and an outdoor space will have 6,000 square feet. San Valentino will highlight Italian cuisine in its market, the restaurant, and cooking school. However, Nasso emphasized that local chefs will be invited to come to San Valentino to display and teach their culinary skills, regardless of the cuisine they specialize in.

Blush Social

A new speakeasy bar and restaurant is opening in Safety Harbor soon, owner Felicia Desai told FFBW. Blush Social will require that guests make reservations and show their picture of the day in lieu of a password.

Desai said that their menu will bear similarities to that of the Blush Wine Room menu. However, the exact details haven't been ironed out yet. The speakeasy will be located at: 101 Philippe Pkwy, Safety Harbor, FL 34695.

Blush Social will primarily open for the evening and night crowd, from 4 pm onward, Desai said. Expect that they will have around 130 seats inside.

Look out for Blush Social sometime in September, Desai reported.

FLAGLER COUNTY

Tony's Wine Cabana

A new interactive wine shop is preparing to open this fall on Flagler Beach, owner Tony Porcellini told FFBW. Tony's Wine Cabana will offer wine tastings, classes, retail sales, a wine club, and more.

Porcellini reported that the space is under under construction at: 705 N Ocean Shore Blvd, Flagler Beach, FL 32136. He anticipates opening in September.

ALACHUA COUNTY

Bowls Delicious Foods

A new food truck is opening soon in Gainesville, co-owner Charles Morris told FFBW. Bowls Delicious Foods will primarily be operated by Morris' wife, Maria Morris.

The new truck will serve latin food, Morris said. An opening date is not yet clear, but should be in the next couple of weeks.

The truck will operate at least five days a week with potential to increase to seven. They plan to be stationed at the Lowe's at: 5150 NW 13th St, Gainesville, FL 32609.

ST. JOHNS COUNTY

Playa Bowls

A new location of Playa Bowls is coming to St. Johns from the franchisees of the Jacksonville location. Franchisee Mark Williams shared info about the new location.

The new Playa Bowls is set to debut this June if all continues smoothly. The smoothie, açaí, and juice concept will open at: 145 Beachwalk Shr Dr, St Johns, FL 32259.
