Yard Bar Smoked Meats Bringing Texas-Style BBQ to Panama City

Texas-style barbecue is making way to Panama City, owner Stephen Counts revealed to Business Debut. Yard Bar Smoked Meats will represent authentic Texas-style barbecue, as Counts trained at the acclaimed Goldee's BBQ in Fort Worth in preparation for opening. Expect slow smoked beef, brisket and more.

The restaurant, which will open at 445 Grace Ave, Panama City, FL 32401, will likely open in late 2024 or early 2025. They will feature fast casual style dining with around 50 seats inside and bistro seating outside.

The phase two plan is to build a connected bar outside with lots of seating and create a space for roughly 6 food truck vendors. Also in consideration is a business incubation program for graduating culinary students.
