THE VILLAGES, FL - Barons Creek Vineyards is planning to open a new tasting room in The Villages on May 1, 2026, according to partner Jason Wade. The location will be at 1171 Main Street, The Villages, FL 32159. The Villages will be the brand’s newest expansion beyond Texas, following openings in Durango, Colorado, and Ocala, Florida.

What to Expect

Barons Creek Vineyards will operate as a wine tasting room with a customer-guided tasting approach. Wade said guests can expect staff to start by asking what styles they prefer, then tailor a tasting “journey” from there, including explanations of varietals, regions and tasting notes.

The Villages space is about 1,500 square feet, plus a front porch area with three tables and umbrellas. Inside, Wade described a 20-foot bar and an additional 8-foot bar, along with a mix of round tables, a long bench setup designed to seat larger groups, a lounge area and a back section with a long table for bigger parties.

Barons Creek Vineyards produces wine in Fredericksburg, Texas, while sourcing grapes from multiple regions, including Texas, California, Washington state and Spain, Wade said. He said the brand typically offers 26 varieties.

Food will focus on small bites, including pizzas, bruschetta, hummus plates and charcuterie boards, Wade told Business Debut. He said the broader goal is “community, hospitality and sharing the passion of wine,” and he expects The Villages location to lean into frequent events such as trivia, music bingo, paint-and-sip and pairing nights.

Opening Timeline

Wade said Chase began expanding beyond the flagship Fredericksburg site about five years ago, adding tasting rooms across Texas after the original location hit capacity. Wade told Business Debut he joined as an investor about two years ago after retiring as a homebuilder and drywall company owner, and he said Chase brought him in as a 50/50 partner for expansion outside Texas.

Wade said the first out-of-state opening in that expansion was Durango, Colorado, in November 2024, followed by growth in Florida, with The Villages now targeting May 1, 2026.

Wade said several team members will be involved in the The Villages rollout, including Marta Chase, Marc Chase’s wife, who he said plays a major role in operations and decorating. He said his daughter, Julia Wade, is expected to move from the Ocala location to serve as assistant manager as the team ramps up.

Wade also named Megan Delgado as general manager overseeing operations, and Sarah Yanes as regional manager over Florida, including Ocala and The Villages.

Hours

Wade said the team plans to open seven days a week and test hours early. Initial hours are expected to start around 11 a.m. - 10 p.m., with a target of 1 p.m. - 9 p.m. on weekdays, 12 p.m.- 10 p.m. on weekends and 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. on Sundays.
