Vintage Soda & Sweets Coming to Downtown High Springs
Serendipity will debut in a restored 130-year-old building in downtown High Springs, offering ice cream, donuts, candies and more.
Serendipity, a nostalgic soda and sweets shop owned by John and Matthew Millett, is set to open in January 2025 at 18581 High Springs Main St #30, High Springs, FL 32643. John Millett, who shared the news with Business Debut, revealed that the shop will bring a step-back-in-time experience to downtown High Springs by restoring the original charm of a 130-year-old building, which was once a pharmacy.
The shop will feature homemade ice cream, donuts, candies and more. A local chocolatier and a wedding cake baker will also sell their goods at Serendipity. Soda will be served from the pharmacy’s original restored soda fountain. Hours will likely be seven days a week, from around 9 am - 8 pm.
The same 130-year-old building will house two other businesses: an antique consignment shop and a private event space called Sweeteasy.
Millett shared that during their remodeling, they discovered a hidden doorway between the antique store space and the event space, hence the speakeasy vibe. Expect a doorway disguised as a bookshelf, Millett said.
The entire venture is headed by Honey Bee Ventures, led by John and Matthew Millett.
