Vegan 27 Debuting in Riviera Beach Soon
Under new management, the Vegan 27 concept is getting a makeover.
RIVIERA BEACH, FL — Vegan 27, a plant-based restaurant focused on vegan soul food and wholesome dishes, is preparing to reopen soon at 1665 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd A15, Riviera Beach, FL 33404, owner Haggith Edwards told Business Debut. Edwards and her brother and business partner, Aman Israel, purchased the existing Vegan 27 restaurant and have since overhauled the space and given it a fresh new look.
What to Expect
Vegan 27 will serve vegan soul food alongside dishes inspired by Asian, Afro, Caribbean and American cuisines, including burgers and fries prepared with plant-based ingredients. Edwards said the goal is for guests to enjoy a satisfying meal and still feel energized enough to head to the gym, go for a walk or keep up with their day, rather than feeling weighed down.
The team is planning a soft launch first, inviting guests to try the food and offer feedback before the official grand opening. Edwards said they want to listen closely to the community and the families they will be serving and adjust based on what local guests want.
Menu and Vision
“Vegan 27, where good food makes the heart smile,” Edwards told Business Debut, describing the concept as vegan soul food with several fusion influences. She said the restaurant will still offer some meat substitute products for those who want them, but the emphasis will be on whole foods and fresh ingredients.
One planned signature item is the Save Your Life Salad, built around fresh greens and other whole-food ingredients meant to support better everyday eating. “We do not want to highlight the ultra-processed food,” Edwards told Business Debut. “We want to highlight the whole foods and the good food, and that you do not have to sacrifice flavor to have something healthy.”
Opening Timeline
Edwards said the team is waiting on state licensing approvals before setting an official opening date. Once licensing is cleared, they plan to host a soft launch, followed by a public grand opening. An exact opening date is to be announced, but Edwards said the reopening is expected soon.
Hours
Hours of operation are still being finalized. Edwards said the team plans to test breakfast service first, then determine whether to open several days a week or seven days a week based on demand and staffing.
She is considering themed days, including an anime-focused Monday and a family-style Sunday with larger sides designed to help big families save time in the kitchen. Final hours and days of service are to be announced.
