Two New BurgerFi Locations Opening in Greater Jacksonville Area
Longtime Subway franchisee is turning his attention to burgers.
The first location of a two-store BurgerFi deal is preparing to open soon in St. John's, franchise partner David Tennyson told FFBW. The restaurant will be opening near Crystal Lagoon at Beachwalk, a development boasting a beautiful lake offering numerous leisurely activities.
The restaurant is about to begin construction, Tennyson said. He and his team expect the buildout to last 12-13 weeks, and they are targeting a mid-June opening. Tennyson highlighted the nearby attractions that will surround the new burger restaurant. With Crystal Lagoon around the corner, paddle boarding, kayaking and other similar activities will be available.

The second location in the deal will open in St. Augustine. The store will be located in the upcoming Elevation Point development, alongside a new Publix and Circle K. Tennyson reported that they are doing site work currently, and they hope to take possession of the building in Q4 of this year.
Tennyson has franchised with Subway sandwich shops since 2003. In 2021, he and Tyler Averdick formed N FL Burgers, LLC to begin franchising with BurgerFi. Tennyson shared that they are looking at signing on to bring locations of Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza to the area as well, but this is not certain yet.
