Truth Be Told Debuting Soon in Roswell with Farm-Fresh Fare and Cocktails

A fresh culinary and cocktail experience is arriving soon in the heart of Roswell. Truth Be Told Restaurant is coming to the area via owner Jonathan Yu and Executive Chef Matt Marcus and will open at 1104 Canton St, Roswell, GA 30075.

The new concept, housed in the former Rice Thai House, will host a ribbon cutting on July 16th.

Truth Be Told will serve a seven-course prix fixe tasting menu, with additional à la carte options available at the bar and on the patio. Guests can look forward to a dining experience with seating spread across three distinct indoor areas—a lounge, main dining room, and bar room—as well as outdoor seating on the porch and patio.

The cocktail menu will feature both creative twists on classic drinks and innovative new concoctions, all crafted with an emphasis on sustainability and quality. “Our cocktail program is really high level,” shared Yu. “We’re making our own sodas and liqueurs, and using the best quality spirits. If we can’t make an ingredient, we source the highest quality we can find.”

Truth Be Told’s commitment to freshness and sustainability extends beyond the bar as much of their produce will come directly from a partner farm in Buchanan, Georgia. This ensures the use of organic and locally sourced ingredients. “Most of our produce comes from a farm just 55 miles away. We work directly with the farmer to grow and harvest everything ourselves,” Yu explained.

After graduating from college, Yu worked in fine wine distribution, where he developed a passion for hospitality and the stories behind wine and cocktails. “I really grew to appreciate how drinks and the stories behind them could create a truly amazing experience,” said Yu. A Roswell native who attended elementary and high school locally, Yu wanted to bring something new, fresh, and interesting to his hometown.
