Trattoria On Main Soft Opening This Weekend in Monroe
The team behind Siano's Pizza and Pasta in Waxhaw are opening this new concept.
MONROE, NC — Trattoria On Main, a new Italian restaurant from Frank and Marcella Siano, is preparing to open at 109 S Main St, Monroe, NC 28112. The plan is to soft open this weekend, April 10th, for a local car show and art event, followed by a full opening targeted for the 28th, Siano told Business Debut.
What to Expect
The concept will focus on a sit-down, full-service Italian dining experience, distinct from the owners’ Siano’s Pizza and Pasta in Waxhaw. Siano said the Monroe restaurant will not serve pizza at launch and instead center on traditional entrees and table-side elements.
The dining room will seat about 40 guests, with additional seating available on a shared outdoor patio space. Beer and wine will be available initially, with the potential to expand to a full bar later, Siano told Business Debut.
Menu and Vision
The menu will feature made-from-scratch dishes, including house-made pasta, meat and sausage lasagna, and a seafood dish with multiple types of fish. Siano also noted plans for items like table-side Pecorino cheese wheel service.
“We make the pasta in-house,” Siano told Business Debut.
Siano added that the concept reflects family traditions, with recipes influenced by the owners’ background as first-generation Italians.
Opening Timeline
The team is planning a soft opening aligned with a downtown Monroe car show and art event, followed by a full opening targeted for the 28th with a limited menu during the initial phase.
Hours
Initial hours are expected to be Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. — 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. — 9 p.m., and Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. — 2 p.m., with Monday closed. Hours may adjust based on demand, Siano told Business Debut.
