Tin Drum Expanding to Braselton This September
Franchisee James Tipton is bringing Tin Drum’s bold Pan-Asian flavors to Braselton, GA.

Tin Drum Asian Kitchen is set to expand its footprint in Georgia with an upcoming location at 3705 Village Way, Suite C, Braselton, GA 30517. This new venture will be led by franchisee James Tipton, who also serves as the company's Vice President of Operations.
Tin Drum’s 13th live location, the Braselton restaurant, is set to open in September. The restaurant will feature 72 indoor seats, complemented by an outdoor patio where guests can enjoy their meals in a comfortable setting.
“As a member of the community, this project will truly be my baby,” Tipton expressed. “My family and I have deep connections within our community, and we’re thrilled to introduce Tin Drum to Braselton, making it more accessible to those beyond Atlanta.”
Tin Drum is celebrated for its Pan-Asian cuisine, offering a diverse menu that includes everything from traditional stir-fries and noodle dishes to innovative, contemporary wok wings, ramen bowls, and grand bentos. Throughout the pandemic, the brand made significant investments in menu innovation, Tipton shared.

“We put in a tremendous effort on the menu to ensure there’s something for everyone,” Tipton explained. “We have broadened our beverage offerings well beyond the usual boba tea, and it has been extremely popular.”
The Braselton location will feature a varied menu, along with a specialized boba tea bar and a cozy indoor-outdoor dining environment. The restaurant is located in an area where four counties meet—Barrow, Hall, Jackson, and Gwinnett—making it an accessible dining spot for the community.
“We aim to deliver what Tin Drum is recognized for: quick, fresh Pan-Asian cuisine that’s enjoyable. There’s quite a bit more room in northern Georgia for Tin Drum,” Tipton stated.
Tipton’s journey to this new venture follows extensive experience in the restaurant industry. After years of work with P.F. Chang’s and Tin Drum, he is transitioning into entrepreneurship via franchising the Braselton location and intends further to expand Tin Drum’s presence in North Georgia.
“We got the entrepreneur bug, and have run other businesses before and thought it was time to do our thing,” Tipton expressed with excitement.
