The Tickled Pickle Deli Opening in South Concord
A new deli is coming to South Concord from the owners of Johnny Roger's BBQ & Burgers.
SOUTH CONCORD, NC – The Tickled Pickle Deli is opening in the former location of Smoothie King at: 3661 Concord Parkway South Concord, NC, 28027.
The couple Sarah and Barrett Dabbs are behind the project and also own Johnny Roger's BBQ & Burgers, which has a location in the same shopping plaza.
What to Expect
Taking over a former Smoothie King, Dabbs shared that the layout and design of the space were ideal for a deli. “The set up back of house also perfectly fit that of a deli," she told Business Debut.
The space includes a drive thru, which emphasizes a streamlined service model that the Dabbs are planning for.
Menu and Vision
The menu will center on hot and cold sandwiches, soups, and salads. Sandwiches to look out for will be a roast beef sandwich, corned beef sandwich, a sandwich called the "Mambo Italian" and the "Goat Father," which will include roast beef, creamy goat cheese, whole wheat bread, and garden herb Boursin cheese. A veggie sandwich will be available as well.
Excellent salads will be another focus. Look out for a bacon spinach salad with glazed pecans, brown sugar bacon and more.
“We want healthy options with high protein as well," Dabbs said.
Opening Timeline
Dabbs reported that their GC recently finished their remodel, and that they are currently decorating and designing the interior of the business.
The Tickled Pickle Deli plans to open in mid-May.
Once they have established this business, there is expansion potential for the couple's existing brand, Johnny Roger's BBQ & Burgers, which has two locations.
