CHARLOTTE, NC — The Taj House, a new modern Indian fine-dining restaurant from co-owner Sachin Salian and partners Bodhisattwa Dasgupta, Thanveer Reddy Gadwal, Bhabesh Ranjan Roy, and Sandeep Kumar Poondru, is targeting a mid- to late December opening at 1535 Elizabeth Ave, Charlotte, NC 28204, Salian told Business Debut. The team is currently completing interior work to prepare the space for opening.

What to Expect

The Taj House is designed as a high-end, fine-dining restaurant with a focus on a full-service experience.

Salian said the space will seat more than 100 guests and will feature two bars. The restaurant will also include a conference area that can accommodate around 25 people, intended for private events and group dining, along with its own soft bar setup.

The menu will feature "modern Indian cuisine with a fusion touch,” Salian told Business Debut. The restaurant plans to offer dedicated lunch platters during the day and a more formal, fine-dining menu in the evening. The full menu is still being finalized and will be announced closer to opening.

Opening Timeline

Salian said the team is planning to open between December 15 and December 20, with the exact date still to be announced as construction and setup are completed. In addition to the Charlotte flagship, the group is also planning a future franchise location in Mooresville. That project is currently in permitting, and details such as address and opening timeline are to be announced.

Hours

The Taj House is planning to open for both lunch and dinner service. Salian said the team is currently expecting to operate seven days a week, but final hours and weekly schedule are still to be announced.
