The Roast & Rush Society Opening In Fort Myers
By early 2026, Fort Myers will see the first franchise location of The Roast & Rush Society.
FORT MYERS, FL — The Roast & Rush Society, a Southwest Florida based hybrid coffee and botanical tea lounge, is preparing to open its first franchise location at 8156 Alico Road, Unit 10, Fort Myers, FL 33912.
Founder & Franchisor Tony Toska told Business Debut the new shop is targeting an opening by the end of the year or by mid-January 2026. The Fort Myers location will be owned and operated by franchisee Derek Weimer, and will be the brand’s first expansion beyond its two company-owned locations.
What to Expect
The Roast & Rush Society blends European café culture with a modern social lounge concept, offering specialty coffee, botanical teas, and a relaxed, upscale environment.
The name reflects its identity, “Roast” for its house-roasted espresso beans and “Rush” for the energy derived from botanical teas such as kratom and kava. “We didn’t want to be defined by one culture, but rather as a society where many cultures come together,” Toska told Business Debut.
Guests can expect a comfortable setting with couches, community tables, and lounge seating for about 50 to 60 guests. The café encourages long stays for studying, social gatherings, and small group meetings during the day. Evenings feature live music or DJs, drawing a younger crowd to the late-night atmosphere.
Menu and Vision
While the menu focuses on beverages, guests will also find a small selection of warm sandwiches, personal pizzas, and pastries sourced from Naples-based bakeries Mickelson’s and Angelic’s Desserts. Toska described the brand as “a hybrid coffee shop—casual, but a little bougie,” influenced by European café traditions that emphasize conversation and connection.
Ownership and Expansion
The Roast & Rush Society was founded by Tony Toska, who opened the first location in Naples after acquiring the former Starbucks site where he and his family were longtime customers. “When that store began to lose focus on quality coffee, I felt emotionally connected to bringing it back to life,” he told Business Debut.
In addition to the new Fort Myers franchise, Toska said another company-owned location at the Galleria Shoppes in Naples is slated to open by late November or mid-December, followed by an additional site in Bonita Springs planned for early 2026.
