WILLISTON, FL — The Ivy House is preparing to reopen at 106 NW Main St, Williston, FL 32696, with owner Waica Micheletti targeting a late July opening, she told Business Debut. Micheletti is reopening the long-standing restaurant alongside her sister-like Aunt and co-owner Evelyn Nussel, bringing the concept back after a fire forced the business to close more than two years ago.

What to Expect

The Ivy House will return as a full-service restaurant set inside a restored 1912 French country style home originally built by Williston founder Dr. Willis. The space has housed a restaurant for more than 30 years and will now include expanded indoor and outdoor seating, a garden area, and a new bar called ROOTS.

Guests can expect approximately 150 seats inside and an additional 40 to 50 outdoors. Micheletti said the property is being reimagined as a destination where guests can dine, gather, and spend time across multiple spaces, including private dining rooms and outdoor areas with live music and entertainment. Micheletti told Business Debut the goal is to create “a fun place to come, a little bit different but yet the same.”

The menu will focus on the restaurant’s original recipes, many of which have been passed down through generations. Signature dishes include baked crispy chicken with macaroni and cheese, southern fried shrimp, chicken salad croissants, and house-made desserts, all prepared from scratch.

Micheletti said the concept is rooted in family tradition, with recipes from her grandmother Marjorie “Mimi” Hale at the center. “We’re just going to get back to our ROOTS,” Micheletti told Business Debut, noting the restaurant’s updated motto: “from our ROOTS to your table.”

In addition to the restaurant, the team is introducing an Ivy House Merch Market next door, offering frozen meals, desserts, home decor, boutique and branding items that allow guests to bring the experience home.

Opening Timeline

The team is targeting a late July opening. Micheletti said construction has included a full kitchen rebuild and extensive restoration to bring the historic home up to current code while preserving original elements like flooring and architectural details.

Hours

Hours are to be announced. Micheletti said the current plan is to operate Wednesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner, with closures on Monday and Tuesday.
