Terra Modern American Coming to Downtown Orlando
The full-service restaurant will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily with a bar-forward layout and 120+ seats.
ORLANDO, FL — Terra Modern American is preparing to open in the lobby of Society Living at 434 N Orange Ave, Orlando, FL 32801.
Owner Michael D’Esposito told Business Debut the team is targeting an opening by the end of March 2026.
What to Expect
Terra will operate as a full-service restaurant and bar offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week. The space will feature roughly 50 seats at a large central bar and more than 70 seats in the dining room.
Though located within Society Living, the concept is fully open to the public and designed to welcome downtown Orlando residents, courthouse employees, and broader city traffic.
Menu and Vision
Thriving Hospitality, know for Lamp & Shade Craft Kitchen and Bar, Thrive Cocktail Lounge and Eatery and many others, is behind the project.
The team is focused on building a balanced lineup spanning meat, vegan, chicken, and fish options. A signature daily burger is a priority, with extensive early testing. “I must have tried 16 different French fries,” D’Esposito told Business Debut.
The restaurant will also introduce weekday breakfast service, a first for the group, with breakfast available through the end of lunch before transitioning to a separate dinner menu.
Executive chef and partner Ryan Stewart will lead the culinary direction. Stewart brings experience from Universal Orlando and many other established hospitality brands. D’Esposito credits Stewart and the Thriving Hospitality team for elevating the group’s culinary growth.
Market and Experience
Society Living is a brand of, “social apartment communities” emphasizing tenant engagement and community building initiatives. D’Esposito described the Orlando location as a cultural, wellness-oriented residential development. He noted the building’s interest in integrating hospitality into the resident experience.
Terra will offer a full-service environment while also accommodating the building’s residents with features such as potential pre-scheduled room service ordering through Toast.
He emphasized that the location is not exclusive to residents and that the goal is to bring new energy to the downtown corridor. “Myself, the Thriving Hospitality team, and our partners are very excited to bring this project live,” he told Business Debut.
Parking
D’Esposito acknowledged that downtown parking can be a concern but stressed that Terra has both dedicated onsite parking for retail visitors and multiple garages surrounding the property.
Guests will have access to parking directly attached to the building, with additional options across the street at the courthouse and in other nearby structures. “There is parking and plenty of parking,” he confirmed.
Opening Timeline
The restaurant is targeting an opening by the end of March 2026.
