Tequila Real Mexican Bar & Grill to Open Soon in Davenport

DAVENPORT, FL — Tequila Real Mexican Bar & Grill, led by owner Richard “Richie” Acevedo, is preparing to open soon at 400 Legacy Village Dr., Suite 101, Davenport, FL 33896. The team is targeting a December opening, pending final construction.
What to Expect
Tequila Real will be a full-service Mexican restaurant and bar with seating for about 157 guests inside the 3,100-square-foot space. Guests can look forward to a family-friendly atmosphere featuring a full bar and signature margaritas.
The Davenport location will be the brand’s first in Florida and second overall, following the original restaurant in Milton, Delaware.
Menu and Vision
Acevedo told Business Debut that Tequila Real focuses on authentic, freshly prepared Mexican cuisine. “Everything is made fresh every day—nothing is frozen,” he said. The restaurant will offer a wide variety of options including 11 types of burritos and six to seven fajita choices.
“My favorite is the Texas fajitas,” Acevedo added. “We want people to have multiple choices so they can come every day and try something new.”
The restaurant’s management team includes Acevedo’s wife, Maggie Flores, who brings two decades of experience in restaurant operations. Their daughter, Melissa Acevedo, will oversee licensing and administrative functions including marketing.
Opening Timeline
The team is aiming to open in December 2025, depending on final construction progress.
Hours
Tentative hours are Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m.—10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m.—11 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m.—10 p.m.
