Taqueria Las Cazuelas, owned by Betty Salinas, has expanded its original location in Orlando and opened a second restaurant in Winter Springs. The Orlando restaurant, located at 10360 E Colonial Dr Unit 118, Orlando, FL 32817, was first established in December 2019. The recent remodel has increased its seating capacity from 25 to 63 guests. “We just expanded to have more space for everybody,” Salinas said. “Now we have room for 63 people.”

The Orlando spot remains a full-service, family-run taqueria offering authentic Mexican cuisine every day of the week. Guests can enjoy traditional dishes such as tacos, burritos, tortas, gorditas, quesadillas, chimichangas, and combination plates like Camarones a la Diabla, served with rice and beans. The revamped eatery also features an expanded drink menu that includes micheladas and margaritas.

According to Salinas, “This is a family restaurant. My husband and my two sons help me every day.” The Salinas family, originally from Chicago, moved to Orlando in 2017 and launched Taqueria Las Cazuelas two years later. “My family is my support all the time,” said Salinas. They even managed to persevere through the challenges posed by COVID with the aid of delivery services.

Alongside the enhanced Orlando location, Taqueria Las Cazuelas has recently opened a new restaurant named Taqueria Las Cazuelas #2 in Winter Springs. This second location, which opened two weeks ago, offers a menu similar to the Orlando one, albeit with some modifications. Currently, the Winter Springs location does not serve seafood. “We started with tacos, tortas, burritos, gorditas, quesadillas, chimichangas, and plates like carne asada and pechuga asada. Once we have more customers, we’ll add the full menu,” Salinas explained.

The expansion of the Colonial Drive location is complete, with a grand reopening event planned shortly. The Winter Springs restaurant is now open to diners.

Operating hours for both locations are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
