Tap Town is Getting Closer to Opening in Acworth
Tap Town is offering a unique lakehouse style atmosphere with self-pour tap walls and a full bar in Acworth.
ACWORTH, GA — Tap Town, a new restaurant and gathering space from owners Adam Silverberg and Jay Clark, is preparing to open at 4443 Cherokee St, Acworth, GA 30101. Silverberg told Business Debut the team is targeting a spring 2026 debut, with soft openings likely beginning in April.
The concept has been years in the making. “Tap Town’s been a project for going on nine years now,” Silverberg told Business Debut. “About three years ago my partner Jay Clark and I reshaped it into what it is today.”
The 9,000-square-foot space sits next to Acworth’s central park and is designed to serve as a gathering place throughout the day.
What to Expect
Tap Town is designed to feel like a welcoming lakehouse-style gathering spot with seating for roughly 200 guests across indoor and outdoor areas.
“When you walk in there, it really does feel like you’re walking into somebody’s home,” Silverberg told Business Debut. “It still feels homey even though it’s a big space.”
A major feature will be two self-pour tap walls — one downstairs and another upstairs — alongside a full bar. Guests will be able to pour their own beverages using RFID cards or order drinks from their table with help from staff.
Downstairs will feature communal brewery-style tables and QR code ordering supported by staff "ambassadors" that will circulate to take orders, share insight on the menu, and improve guests experience. Upstairs will offer a traditional seated dining model with servers and printed menus.
“We’ve invested heavily in the technology, but we never want the technology to replace the human interaction,” Silverberg told Business Debut. “It’s a hybrid model — you can use the tech if you want, but there’s always someone there to help and make sure you’re taken care of.”
The restaurant will intentionally avoid televisions to encourage social interaction.
“We want people to be there and be with each other, not staring up at a screen,” Silverberg told Business Debut. “We’re not trying to be a sports bar — we want it to feel like a place where people gather.”
Menu and Vision
Tap Town’s menu is built around what Silverberg calls a “50/50 model,” blending familiar comfort dishes with more adventurous options.
“Half the menu is comfort food and half of it is food to get you out of your comfort zone,” Silverberg told Business Debut. “You might see country fried steak or a bacon-wrapped meatloaf, but you’ll also see things like duck confit or even tater tots with caviar.”
The beverage program will include 44 taps downstairs and 12 upstairs, along with cocktails such as coffee-forward drinks, espresso martinis, and a cold brew old fashioned.
A coffee concept called Parallel Coffee and Biscuits will also operate within the space.
“Coffee houses really predate taverns as gathering places,” Silverberg told Business Debut. “Tap Town is designed to fit into your day however you need it to.”

Opening Timeline
The team is targeting a spring 2026 opening, with soft openings expected to begin in April as staff training and operational testing take place.
Silverberg said the extended soft opening period will allow the team to refine operations before a full grand opening.

Tap Town plans to operate seven days a week.
Current plans call for service beginning around 7 a.m. with the coffee concept and continuing through dinner, with closing around 10 p.m., though those hours may evolve after opening.
