WESLEY CHAPEL, FL - Tampa Joe’s is relocating to 26951 Halter Lp, Wesley Chapel, FL 33544, at the Hub of Lexington Oaks, with owner Mike Goodwin targeting a June–July reopening and saying the goal is the first or second week of July. Goodwin told Business Debut the restaurant is moving after a 16-year run in its previous home and will reopen in a new entertainment-focused setting in Wesley Chapel.

What to Expect

Tampa Joe’s is an American Italian sports bar with a full-service format and seating for about 300 guests, plus patio seating, Goodwin told Business Debut. He said the new restaurant will span about 5,000 square feet and will be built around a stronger sports-viewing experience at the Hub of Lexington Oaks.

Goodwin said the new location will feature a 20-foot-by-7-foot video wall above the bar, along with additional TVs throughout the space to support multiple games and sporting events. He said the move gives the team a chance to build out the concept the way it wants and place it in a retail and entertainment district instead of a property driven primarily by movie theater traffic.

Guests can expect pizzas, pastas, ribs, salmon, burgers and wings, along with sandwiches including a tuna melt, Cuban, burgers and chicken sandwiches, Goodwin told Business Debut. He said customer favorites include the bacon-wrapped beef tips served with hollandaise sauce, along with the pizzas and wings.

Goodwin said he has operated restaurants since 2013 and now oversees eight restaurants in total. In addition to Tampa Joe’s, he named The Landing Bar and Grill, O’Brien’s Irish Pub in Plant City, three BubbaKoo’s Burritos locations in Plant City, Zephyrhills and Riverview, and Sally O’Neal’s Pizza in South Tampa.

Opening Timeline

Goodwin said Tampa Joe’s is relocating after 16 years and is now aiming to reopen in Wesley Chapel in June or July, with the first or second week of July as the current target. He said the move followed an opportunity to sell the previous property and shift the restaurant into the Hub of Lexington Oaks, where events and surrounding retail are expected to better match the concept.

Hours

Tampa Joe’s is expected to operate 11 a.m.–11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.–midnight Friday and Saturday, Goodwin told Business Debut.
