Tallahassee's Newest Comfort Food Spot: Authentic Gyros & Grill Opening Soon

TALLAHASSEE, FL — Authentic Gyros & Grill, a fast-casual Mediterranean concept led by owner Badr Kbiri Alaoui, is preparing to open a new location at 2119 W. Tennessee St., Tallahassee, FL 32304, Alaoui told Business Debut in a recent phone interview.

The Tallahassee restaurant will join a group of six locations that includes a new Fayetteville, Georgia, store that opened June 9 at 190 Banks Sta, Fayetteville, GA 30214.

What to Expect

Alaoui said the menu draws on recipes he developed while living, studying and working in restaurants in Cyprus. “We got homemade recipes,” Alaoui told Business Debut. “We make from scratch, with a lot of variety.”

He said wings are a major focus, with more than 20 flavors built from the brand’s own sauces and seasoning blends. “All our recipes, like I said, are our own recipes,” Alaoui shared with Business Debut. He added that the concept also offers seafood and house-made cheese sauces.

Breakfast is a key change at the newest stores. Alaoui said the Fayetteville location that opened June 9 is adding breakfast, and Tallahassee is planned to follow the same path.

Authentic Gyros & Grill operates as a fast-casual restaurant with dine-in service, Alaoui shared with Business Debut in a phone interview. The brand centers on Mediterranean and American comfort items with a focus on gyros, wings and seafood.

Opening Timeline

Alaoui said the Tallahassee opening is targeted within the next 30 days, although a specific date is to be announced. The Tallahassee restaurant will represent the sixth location for Authentic Gyros & Grill, including Orlando and Jacksonville.

The Fayetteville store at 190 Banks Sta, Fayetteville, GA 30214 held its grand opening June 9 after several soft-opening days with late-night hours, Alaoui told Business Debut.
