Tacos La Villa Opening Full Service Cantina in Marietta

MARIETTA, GA — Tacos La Villa has two locations planned in Marietta, a counter service taqueria, and a full service cantina, management told Business Debut.

The new counter-service taqueria will open first at 3545 Canton Rd Suite 102, Marietta, GA 30066, while the second project, Taco La Villa Cantina, is also in the works at 800 Whitlock Ave NW #207, Marietta, GA 30064, replacing MamiTacos.

Manager Adolfo De Niz told Business Debut the Canton Road location is about one inspection away from opening. De Niz and his brother, Abraham De Niz, manage the Tacos La Villa operations, he shared.

What to Expect

The Canton Road restaurant is expected to follow the same casual format as other Tacos La Villa locations, with counter service and a menu built around Mexican staples including tacos, tamales and burritos, De Niz told Business Debut.

Taco La Villa Cantina will expand on that concept with a full-service atmosphere and a full bar, he said. De Niz told Business Debut the cantina space includes a patio and is expected to seat about 86 inside, with additional patio seating that could bring the total closer to 100.

Menu and Vision

De Niz told Business Debut the new Canton Road location will keep the same counter-service format and focus on authentic Mexican cuisine.

For Taco La Villa Cantina, De Niz said the food menu will stay largely consistent with Tacos La Villa, with the biggest addition being a full bar and an expanded drink menu. He estimated the food side will be “98%” the same, with a few potential additions.

Tacos La Villa has three popular existing locations, two in Smyrna and one in Kennesaw.

Opening Timeline

De Niz told Business Debut the Canton Road taqueria is targeting the first week of January, pending remaining inspections.

He said Taco La Villa Cantina is expected to open shortly after, noting it needs a bit more work but could be close behind the taqueria.
