Taco 30A to Open New Catering Kitchen in Santa Rosa
Taco 30A’s new kitchen will boost capacity for taco bars, festival catering, and large events.
SANTA ROSA BEACH, FL — Taco 30A, the South Walton-based food truck known for tacos, burritos, and large-scale festival catering, is preparing to open a new catering kitchen at 4552 US Highway 98 West, Unit #20, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459. Owner Chris Rye told Business Debut the team is targeting a late January opening.
What to Expect
Taco 30A will continue operating its food truck while expanding catering capabilities through the new kitchen. The food truck will be stationed on-site five days a week for lunch service once the kitchen opens. The kitchen will serve as the business’s main commissary, enabling increased capacity for taco bars, drop-off catering, and setup-style events.
Rye described the catering operation as “on the casual side,” offering taco bars, drop-offs, and buffet-style setups for groups of all sizes.

Menu and Vision
Founded as a food truck in 2020, Taco 30A serves tacos, burritos, and burrito bowls, with homemade components across the menu. On the catering side, offerings include taco bars and large-format setups, with no maximum guest count. The team regularly caters backstage at major music festivals, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner to as many as 1,000 to 3,000 people over a weekend.
Rye, a private chef since 2017, said he prefers the pace and variety of catering over traditional restaurant operations, calling it a better fit for his style and the business’s growth. “We’ve built a good reputation so far and we’d like to keep adding to it,” he told Business Debut.
Opening Timeline
The team plans to move into the new kitchen by the end of this month and begin operations in January.
Hours
Once open, lunch service at the new site will run Monday through Friday from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. or 11 a.m.–3 p.m. The food truck will continue participating in events, private rentals, and off-site catering.
