Sweet Blessings Cafe to Debut in Pensacola With Mid-December Launch

PENSACOLA, FL — Sweet Blessings Cafe is preparing to open in mid-December inside the SCI Building at 220 W Garden St, Pensacola, FL 32502, owner Agustin Rodriguez told Business Debut. The family-run concept will serve breakfast and lunch to building tenants and the surrounding downtown community.

What to Expect

The counter-service cafe will operate in the lobby of the SCI Building, which houses roughly 70 offices. Seating for about 40 guests will be available across indoor and outdoor areas.

Rodriguez said the goal is to create a welcoming, family-style atmosphere where guests feel known and cared for. “We want to meet them, we want to know them, we want to know what they like and cater to their needs,” he told Business Debut.

The menu blends Rodriguez’s Puerto Rican background with the Southern flavors of his wife, Nicole Burford. Offerings will include empanadas with various fillings, breakfast burritos, sandwiches, daily soups, and grab-and-go items such as protein bowls and salads. The team plans to partner with local farmers and use seasonal ingredients throughout the menu.

Rodriguez emphasized that Sweet Blessings Cafe is rooted in service. “More than making money or becoming famous in the food industry, we just want to be able to give back,” he told Business Debut. “Everything we do, we do with love and we like to cater to people and their needs.”

Family Team

The business is operated by Rodriguez, his wife Nicole Burford, and his father, Agustin Rodriguez Sr. Rodriguez noted that their teamwork is essential to the cafe’s mission. Burford leads management and operations, Rodriguez oversees production and cooking, and his father supports with shopping, deliveries, and childcare. “We are a true team. We do everything together,” he told Business Debut.
