SR54 Coffee and Tea is preparing to open soon at 36950 FL-54, Zephyrhills, FL 33541, offering residents a cozy place to enjoy authentic Ethiopian coffee and globally inspired teas. Co-owner Endrias Bekele told Business Debut that the shop is targeting a mid-August opening after final permit approvals from the city.

The concept centers around serving premium, organic Ethiopian coffee directly imported from the highlands of Ethiopia, then roasted, ground, and packed in-house at the Zephyrhills location. “We believe every coffee cup of coffee tells a story,” said Bekele. “Our mission is simple: to serve authentic high quality coffee that brings people together.”

The coffee shop will have opening hours from 6 am–6 pm Monday through Friday, and 7 am–3 pm on weekends, with indoor seating for over 14 guests in a 700-square-foot modern, inviting space. Outdoor seating will also be available in the future.

The menu includes various hot and cold drinks like drip coffee, Coffee 54 Latte, macchiatos, dirty chai, spritzers, and teas. It also includes gluten-free options such as pastries, muffins, croissants, bagels, cookies, and smoothies. The shop also serves ginger sodas, flavored water, and other special drinks.

Customers can also enjoy free Wi-Fi access, nice music, and a friendly environment. There are plans for new expansions coming up, such as a possible drive-thru and more stores in nearby areas like Wesley Chapel. Additionally, a 5% discount will be given to local first responders and service members as a way to thank them for their hard work. Though still under construction, the site will eventually support online ordering and feature their unique line of Ethiopian coffee beans for retail purchase.

Owned by husband-and-wife duo Bekele and Webeshet Gesesse, SR54 Coffee and Tea is a passion project grounded in culture and family. While Andreas handles the business side, he’s a computer engineer by profession, and Webeshet will manage day-to-day operations.
