Sprout + Play Indoor Playground and Cafe Opening in North Wilkesboro
A new destination for families is coming: an indoor playground for the kids and a cafe for the parents.
NORTH WILKESBORO, NC — Sprout + Play Indoor Playground and Cafe, a new family-focused indoor play concept from owner Tyler Bauguess, is in final buildout at 1410 Willow Ln #1, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659, she told Business Debut. Most of the interior work is complete, with the team now preparing for installation of a custom three-story play structure.
What to Expect
Sprout + Play will combine an indoor playground with open seating for parents. The main attraction is a three-story playground system with obstacles, slides, a ball pit and other interactive elements, designed for young children.
A separate soft play area will be designated for the younger kids so they can play away from the larger structure. Seating will be arranged around the play areas, and Wi-Fi will be available so parents can sit nearby, work or relax while keeping eyes on their children.
The space will also feature two birthday party rooms available for private rentals, with access to the playground and café during reserved time blocks.
Menu and Vision
The upstairs café will overlook the playground and include bar-style seating for parents to sit and watch the play area below. Bauguess said the café will serve coffee beverages along with prepackaged baked goods. Guests will also find prepackaged snacks and juices available near the entrance.
Opening Timeline
The custom play structure, ordered through Indoor Playgrounds International, is planned to arrive in North Wilkesboro in the coming weeks. Once it is on-site, the vendor’s contractors will handle installation.
Cabinets, bathrooms, party rooms and flooring are already in place, and Bauguess said the remaining work is largely focused on furnishing and equipment. The team is targeting an opening in early February, depending on delivery and installation timing.
Hours
Sprout + Play plans to be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Current planned hours are:
- Wednesday and Thursday: 10 a.m. — 7 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. — 8 p.m.
- Sunday: 1 p.m. — 7 p.m.
Hours are subject to adjustment after opening based on demand.
