Southern Comfort Food Restaurant Debuting in Seffner
Bellies Kitchen will open in Seffner serving Southern comfort food in a family-style setting.
SEFFNER, FL - Bellies Kitchen is set to open at 11204 E M.L.K JR BLVD, Seffner, FL 33584 on March 1. Owner Shelby Lovely told Business Debut the restaurant will debut with a community-focused soft opening event before launching full-time service.
The March 1 soft opening will run from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. and feature free food, bounce houses and family-friendly activities as an introduction to the community.
What to Expect
Bellies Kitchen will offer full-service dining with seating for 68 guests. The concept centers on Southern comfort food inspired by home-cooked meals.
“We want it to be as soon as you walk in the door it feels like you walked into a family member's house,” Lovely told Business Debut. “From the time that you get in to the time that we leave we want you to feel comfortable like you're a part of the family.”
The interior design, furniture and overall layout are intended to reflect that at-home atmosphere.
Menu and Vision
The menu will focus on traditional Southern staples such as chicken and waffles, fried chicken, half-pound burgers and breakfast skillets.
Lovely said one standout item is the Hillbilly Skillet, which features a mix of meats and vegetables served over home fries with cheese and topped with eggs. She also pointed to the chicken and waffles as a personal favorite.
The restaurant marks Lovely’s first ownership venture, though she has worked in restaurants since she was 13. Bellies Kitchen is a family-operated business alongside her brothers, Dylan Lovely and Christopher Logan.
“Basically just growing up in the business I kind of always knew that this is what I wanted to do with my life,” Lovely told Business Debut.
Opening Timeline
The team is targeting March 1 for its soft opening celebration, with regular service to follow immediately after.
Hours
Bellies Kitchen will be open seven days a week from 5:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
