KISSIMMEE, FL — Flying Biscuit Café, a breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurant with roots in Atlanta, is planning to open a new location at 6079 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34747. Owner John Terranova told Business Debut the restaurant is targeting a mid-March opening, tentatively between March 15 and March 18.

The Kissimmee restaurant will be Terranova’s first Flying Biscuit location and will operate as a franchise. The brand has been in operation for more than four decades and has grown to about 40 locations across the Southeast and Texas, with existing Florida locations in The Villages and Tallahassee.

What to Expect

The Flying Biscuit is a full-service restaurant serving all three meals seven days a week. The Kissimmee space will seat approximately 110 guests inside.

The restaurant is known for its Southern-inspired menu and welcoming, sit-down atmosphere. Guests can expect a relaxed dining experience designed for families, locals, and visitors alike.

“What attracted me first was the food,” Terranova told Business Debut.

Menu highlights include classic Flying Biscuit items such as freshly made biscuits served with the brand’s signature apple cinnamon cranberry spread, along with indulgent breakfast and brunch dishes. One particular item Terranova mentioned features a waffle topped with gravy, eggs, and cheese. The overall menu centers on Southern comfort flavors with a breakfast-and-brunch focus.

Ownership and Background

Terranova owns the franchised business with his wife, Giselle. He brings more than 40 years of restaurant industry experience to the project, including decades spent working in kitchens and later in management roles, often helping open new franchise locations.

“This is my first restaurant as an owner,” Terranova told Business Debut, adding that his background helped prepare him for launching his own operation.

Opening Timeline

The restaurant is targeting a mid-March opening, with hopes to welcome guests around March 15–18.
