RALEIGH, NC — Anjappar Chettinad Indian Restaurant, a South Indian fast-casual concept, plans to open in April at 4112 Pleasant Valley Rd #124, Raleigh, NC 27612.

Franchisee Prekash Sambath told Business Debut the Raleigh restaurant will be a smaller, takeout-focused version of the brand, which already operates full-service locations in Cary, Durham and Charlotte.

What to Expect

Sambath told Business Debut the new Raleigh location is designed as a fast-casual option compared to the brand’s existing restaurants, which are full service with bar service.

Sambath told Business Debut that Anjappar is known for its authentic South Indian cuisine and for making masalas in-house.

“We make our own masalas from the franchise standards, and ours is basically grinded in store, and we use that masalas to make our dishes,” he said.

He added that the restaurant is known for its curries, breads, and appetizers, including chicken and fish options.

Opening Timeline

The team is targeting an April opening. Sambath told Business Debut the restaurant is currently in construction.

Hours

The restaurant plans to operate six days a week for lunch and dinner, with one weekday closure, Sambath told Business Debut.
