Souse House Bringing Island-Style Soups to West Palm Beach
Souse House of Palm Beach will feature souse soups, wings, sandwiches, and a casual neighborhood bar atmosphere.
WEST PALM BEACH, FL — Souse House of Palm Beach is targeting a January 2026 grand opening at 1510 N Sapodilla Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. Owner Sean Burgman told Business Debut the space has been used as a bar and is being built out to add a kitchen and food service. “I want to do more than alcohol—we’re adding food,” he told Business Debut.
What to Expect
The business will operate as a neighborhood bar with a food menu centered on souse, a Florida and island-style soup. Beer and wine are planned initially while licensing is finalized; a full-liquor path is under evaluation. The format will be weekend-focused initially with the goal of expanding to seven-day-a-week service.
Menu and Vision
Burgman said the menu will showcase multiple versions of souse. “We started with pork souse, then added chicken, fish, and we do turkey souse around the holidays,” he told Business Debut.
Additional items include wings and fries, pork chop sandwiches, hamburgers and fries, and occasional specials such as frog legs and conch fritters with fries. The goal is a simple, crowd-friendly lineup to pair with drinks.
Opening Timeline
Burgman is “hoping by January” for a full grand opening in 2026, with city and county approvals underway. Construction has included interior changes and kitchen work; final equipment compliance and licensing are in progress. Any shift in the opening date will be announced.
Hours
Current service has been on weekends, generally starting at 12 p.m. and wrapping up in the early evening around 7 p.m. Expanded hours and late-night service are planned after permits and staffing are finalized. A seven-days-a-week schedule is to be announced.
