Soul Food Flavor Debuting New Soul Food Restaurant in Whitesburg
A soft opening is planned Thursday for Soul Food Flavor’s new soul food restaurant in Whitesburg.
WHITESBURG, GA — Soul Food Flavor is planning a soft opening Thursday at 665 Main St, Whitesburg, GA 30185, followed by a grand opening celebration on the 30th, Christy Pressley told Business Debut.
The restaurant comes from Bobby and Christy Pressley, who previously focused on catering and, for a period, operated in a mall setting before deciding to move into a standalone space.
We first heard the news from City Menus.
What to Expect
Soul Food Flavor will bring a soul food menu built around breakfast and hearty plate lunches and dinners, with service planned six days a week, Monday through Saturday.
Pressley said the business expects to serve guests throughout the day, with breakfast in the morning and dinner-style offerings available after 10:30 a.m.
Breakfast is set to include biscuits such as sausage, egg and cheese and bacon, egg and cheese, along with grit bowls and sausage gravy biscuits.
Later in the day, guests can expect comfort food staples including meatloaf, barbecue chicken, brisket, turkey wings, baked chicken, and rotating specials on Fridays and Saturdays.
The new restaurant marks a major step for the Pressleys after years in catering. “We were just doing catering before,” Pressley told Business Debut.
Opening Timeline
A soft opening is planned for Thursday, with the full grand opening celebration and blessing scheduled for the 30th, according to Pressley. She said the public is invited, with community members and visitors from around Georgia expected to attend.
