Smoothies and Bowls Shop Targeting Early Summer Opening in Brandon

BRANDON, FL - Better Blend is targeting an early summer opening at 955 East Brandon Blvd., Brandon, FL 33511. Founder and franchisor Isaac Hamlin told Business Debut the shop is expected to open around June, with early July as the latest projected timeline.

The location will be operated by franchisees Mike Faustini and Hillary Faustini and will also serve as the base for two mobile smoothie bowl trucks known as Blendmobiles. The trucks are already operating across the Tampa area to introduce customers to the brand ahead of the store opening.

Customers and event organizers are able to book the Blendmobiles for events through the company’s website, where a food truck request form allows the team to schedule appearances and catering style service throughout the region.

What to Expect

Better Blend focuses on smoothies and bowls designed to deliver balanced nutrition while still tasting indulgent. Hamlin said the brand aims to create blends that are high in protein and vitamins while remaining lower in sugars, calories, and fats compared to traditional smoothies.

Menu flavors include options such as brownie batter and peanut butter pie that are designed to satisfy sweet cravings while still providing sustained energy.

“We’re trying to make it taste like it’s bad for you but it’s good for you,” Hamlin told Business Debut.

The shop will offer limited indoor seating with fewer than 15 seats, though the concept is primarily designed for quick service and takeout.

Menu and Vision

The menu will center on smoothies, smoothie bowls, and protein oat bowls. Smoothie bowls feature slow blended fruit bases topped with ingredients like gluten free granola, fresh fruit, and peanut butter drizzles.

Hamlin said the goal is to make healthier eating faster and more accessible.

“We really just want to make it easier for people to eat healthier,” he told Business Debut.

Hamlin also credited his sister, Kim Hamlin, the company’s chief marketing officer, for shaping the brand’s visual identity and marketing presence, including the design of the Blendmobiles and the overall look of the brand.

Better Blend currently operates 18 locations across three states, including six locations owned by Hamlin.

Opening Timeline

The Brandon shop is targeting an opening around June with early July as the latest projected timeframe.

Ahead of the opening, the Blendmobiles will continue operating across the Tampa region serving smoothie bowls at events, pop ups, and community gatherings to introduce the brand to local customers.
