DADE COUNTY

Smoothie Spot

A new smoothie joint is coming to the area, according to a plan review filing with the DBPR. Smoothie Spot Doral West is owned by Ana and Nestor Novoa and Milagro Rujano, according to the Division of Corporations.

A Google listing cites that they will open sometime in July. An exact date is unknown.

Micky Restaurant Latino

FFBW confirmed that a new latin restaurant is coming to town, according to owner Patricia Needham. They are very early on in the process of developing their business. Currently, they are finalizing their lease.

Mi Capricho Bakery

A new bakery is under development in Miami, according to owner Luis Padron. Mi Capricho Bakery doesn't have an opening date. Padron shared that right now they are working on permitting.

BROWARD COUNTY

Common Room

Bol Hospitality Group is working on a new concept called Common Room. According to Eric Douglas, a partner at the group, Common Room is waiting on building permits. It's coming to: 2032 Harrison St., Hollywood, FL 33020.

Bol Hospitality has numerous concepts open around South Florida, including their namesake Bōl Restaurant in the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood.

Soulful Steep

A new multi-faceted tea room and light bites concept is moving into Pompano Beach, according to co-owner Christina Abresch. The Soulful Steep will have a bohemian and rustic atmosphere with over 50 teas and great, locally roasted coffee. In addition, they will serve locally baked goods and small bites.

The Soulful Steep will also have a retail area, selling locally made goods and crafts, like candles, clothing, and more. Also, patrons will be able to relax in the salt cave, which will feature tens of thousands of pounds of salt to relax and recharge in.

Abresch estimates opening during the fourth of July weekend, but that is dependent on the city's speed in approving licensing and permits, she said.

PALM BEACH COUNTY

Links Grill

SW Hospitality Group is bringing a new concept to the Links at Boynton Beach golf course, Andy Studebaker, co-owner of SW Hospitality confirmed with FFBW. Details about Links Grill are slim at this time. An opening date is not available.

ST. LUCIE COUNTY

Krispy Krunchy

The Walmart Supercenter on Gaitland Boulevard will soon see a new Krispy Krunchy open inside, according to owner Michael Steppling. The fried chicken place is planned to open later this month. Steppling reported that they are aiming for June 26 as of now.

This unit is one of many that Steppling owns. He shared with FFBW that he also owns several Subway locations as well.

Viet Bowl

A new Vietnamese spot is coming to Fort Pierce soon, according to co-owner Lillian Tran. A specific opening date isn't available yet, but Tran shared with FFBW that they are estimating for late July.

ORANGE COUNTY

Down South Restaurant

A recent business formation for Down South Restaurant LLC was filed on June 6, just three days ago. The owners of the new business are Eli and Joshua Verty and Ebel Isme.

They are early in the planning stages and had little information to offer about what to expect from Down South Restaurant.

The address on the filing is: 5160 S John Young Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32839.

Jorie Coffee Shop

A new coffee shop is coming to the area soon, owner Marjorie Paul reported to FFBW. Jorie Coffee Shop is early in the process of development, and Paul does not have an opening date to share as of now.

An address also isn't available at this time, but the shop will be located in the Orlando area.
