KENNESAW, GA — Smash Hit Burgers, the food-truck-born brand from Zac and Myah Patterson, is opening a brick-and-mortar at the former The Nest site at 2921 Cherokee St NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Zac Patterson told Business Debut the team is targeting a February 1, 2026 opening, pending permitting.

The restaurant will span two buildings with a shared center patio featuring a retractable roof, heaters for cool nights and fans for warm days. A dedicated food truck pad sits at the front of the property.

Pre-opening food truck pop-ups with live music are planned on the patio beginning in November. “We’re going to set up one of our food trucks and do live music to get the community excited,” Patterson told Business Debut.

What to Expect

One side of the concept will offer a full-service dining room with beer and wine. The second side will function as a to-go kitchen and a milkshake bar highlighting hand-spun shakes.

Smash Hit Burgers will continue operating its two mobile units after the restaurant opens, maintaining established accounts and festival appearances. “We’d be crazy to let something like the Dogwood Festival or the North Georgia State Fair go—once you get in, you don’t want to leave,” Patterson told Business Debut.

The menu extends beyond classic smash burgers to include specialty builds like Cuban smashes and cheesesteak smashes.

A dedicated chicken finger lineup with roughly eight dipping sauces is planned, along with burger alternatives plus vegan and gluten-free options. “We have something on the menu for everybody,” Patterson told Business Debut.

Patterson credited the brand’s growth to his team. “We’ve just kept our heads down, and I have such an amazing team—that’s really what it has been about,” he told Business Debut.

Opening Timeline

Targeting February 1, 2026, subject to permitting. “My target date for opening the restaurant is February 1, depending on permitting,” Patterson told Business Debut.

Food truck pop-ups on the patio are planned to start in November. Patterson noted the company marks its two-year anniversary on Nov. 20 after growing from an initial trailer to two trucks and a brick and mortar on the way.
