Sip & Sea to Bring Wine and Views to Cedar Key
A new wine bar is set to debut on Dock Street, with local sweets and waterfront seating.

Sip & Sea, a new wine bar with Gulf views and a locally inspired menu, is set to open soon at 491 Dock St, Cedar Key, FL 32625. Owner Nancy Sera told Business Debut she expects to open after the final inspection and approval from public health authorities, hopefully in about two weeks.
The wine bar is located on the ground floor of an old but renovated hotel. It features a casual vibe where customers can enjoy small plates, drinks, and beautiful views of the sunset. “It's on the corner of Dock Street as you come over the bridge, and it's got beautiful views,” said Sera. “The location's lovely. It looks out on the gulf on the right-hand side.”

Sip & Sea will operate like a French bistro type, with a rotating selection of wines, craft beer, and locally sourced sweets from Cedar Key Bakery. The food menu will focus on charcuterie boards, dips, coffee, and light cold plates, with a warming kitchen setup and the possibility of expanding into local seafood-inspired tapas, like a “Cedar Key charcuterie board” featuring Gulf shellfish.
Cozy and intimate with 28 indoor seats, Sip & Sea offers a charming setting that will soon extend to outdoor seating along the hotel’s scenic boardwalk. The bar will welcome guests Thursday through Sunday from 2 pm to 8 pm, catering to travelers staying at nearby Airbnbs and hotels who are in search of a light bite or a relaxing early evening drink.
Before launching the Sip & Sea passion project, Sera built an accomplished career in IT project management. She's also involved in the community since relocating to Cedar Key and has served as City Commissioner since 2020. After spending time preparing and searching for the ideal property, she bought a space to combine her love for wine, hospitality, local art, and community into one welcoming and casual place.
