Sinbad Yemeni Restaurant and Coffee Opening on Nov. 17th in Duluth
Opening November 17, the Duluth restaurant will bring Yemeni dishes, traditional seating options, and a drive-thru coffee service.
DULUTH, GA — Sinbad Yemeni Restaurant & Coffee will open Monday, November 17th at 3165 Buford Hwy NE, Duluth, GA 30096, with a grand opening celebration planned for Friday, November 21st, owner Abdull Mufadhal told Business Debut.
The full-service restaurant and coffee concept brings a style of Yemeni dining not yet available in Georgia, Mufadhal reported.
What to Expect
The concept combines a full sit-down restaurant with a Yemeni coffee program. The dining room seats about 80 guests and includes traditional seating as well as multiple private rooms. Some rooms feature floor seating with carpets, designed to mirror the dining experience Mufadhal grew up with in Yemen. A VIP room is also available.
The restaurant will offer seven-day service, with coffee available beginning at 7 a.m. before transitioning into breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A drive-thru will support morning and on-the-go service, and delivery will be available as operations expand.
Menu and Vision
The menu will offer Yemeni breakfast dishes, including the restaurant’s signature bread, which Mufadhal described as soft, flaky, and central to the cuisine. Breakfast items include liver prepared with lemon and lassa, a dish similar to shakshuka with eggs, tomatoes, peppers, and cream cheese.
Lunch and dinner will highlight dishes such as mendi, which Mufadhal called the most popular Yemeni entrée, along with pasta, a stew of slow-cooked shredded beef served bubbling hot in a clay pot. The dish is eaten with bread and is among the most recognizable Yemeni meals.
Two team members were sent to Yemen for two years of culinary training to ensure the restaurant offers fully authentic preparations.

The coffee bar will also offer espresso drinks, lattes, juices, and pastries, with morning guests able to order through the drive-thru.
