Shaken and Stirred on Mason Opening Friday, Oct. 10th

FRANKLINTON, NC — A new cocktail lounge is taking over the former Vino and Vine space in downtown Franklinton. Shaken and Stirred on Mason plans to open on Friday, October 10th at 101 E Mason St, Franklinton, NC 27525.

Owner Chris Brody told Business Debut that he and his wife, Jackie Brody, recently purchased and rebranded the former wine shop, Vino and Vine. They are turning the space into a relaxed lounge focused on craft cocktails and conversation.

What to Expect

The concept centers on a social, cocktail-forward experience where guests can enjoy handcrafted drinks and small snacks in a casual, intimate setting. The Brodys describe it as a place to unwind with a drink and take in what downtown Franklinton has to offer.

Ownership and Vision

Brody shared that both he and Jackie come from culinary backgrounds, with a combined 36 years in the restaurant, bar, and events industry. Shaken and Stirred on Mason was born from Brody's affection for bartending.

"It was about 2019 when I fell in love with the idea of bartending, and I decided to take it on as a part-time job on top of my career... ultimately, I just fell in love," Brody said. "One day, the opportunity just arose and we said, well, why aren't we doing this for ourselves?"

The Space

The Brody's are completing an interior refresh, maintaining much of the original layout while rebranding it with a cocktail focus.

Opening Timeline

The team is targeting a soft opening on Friday, October 10th, with a grand opening the following weekend, pending final preparations.

Hours

Initially open Thursday through Saturday, with late afternoon to evening hours.
