Scottish-Inspired Waterfront Restaurant Coming to Crescent City
The Lochside Restaurant plans a Scottish-inspired, family-friendly menu with lake views, beer garden seating, and full bar.
CRESCENT CITY, FL — The Lochside Restaurant is preparing to open at 1124 N Summit St, Crescent City, FL 32112, bringing a Scottish-inspired, family-oriented dining concept to the waterfront. Chris Brown, the restaurant’s general manager, told Business Debut the team is targeting a late March opening, though permitting could push the timeline into early April.
The project has been five years in the making and is located in the former Tangerine Cove Motel building, which has sat vacant for more than a decade following a fire and years of disuse. Brown said extensive work was required to bring the property back up to code before the restaurant could move forward.
What to Expect
The Lochside Restaurant is designed as a neighborhood gathering place with a strong focus on families, including a large kids menu. The full-service restaurant will seat about 130 guests indoors, with additional seating available in an outdoor beer garden and along the water’s edge.
A glass-front dining room overlooks Crescent Lake, offering water views from inside the restaurant as well as from the outdoor seating areas. A full bar with liquor and a dedicated cocktail menu will also be part of the experience.

Menu and Vision
The menu blends British pub classics, American favorites, and Scottish-influenced dishes. Planned offerings include fish and chips, steak pies, cottage pie, pizza, burgers, and steaks, along with Scottish twists such as haggis bonbons and haggis-topped sliders.
“We want to offer a high-end dining experience without that price point,” Brown told Business Debut. He added that the menu will emphasize fresh fish and fresh vegetables, noting that local feedback played a role in shaping the offerings.
Opening Timeline
The restaurant is targeting an opening for the end of March, with early April as a possibility depending on the return of permits and final inspections.
Hours
The Lochside Restaurant plans to open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. One weekday will feature a limited menu, with the specific day to be announced. Breakfast service is planned for the future after initial operations are established.
