STOCKBRIDGE, GA — Sammy’s Boba and Coffee is preparing to open at 1762 Hudson Bridge Rd #402, Stockbridge, GA 30281 in January 2026.

Owner Sam Beng told Business Debut that he is in the final stages of buildout and is waiting on permitting and inspections, with a target of mid-January through the third week of January.

What to Expect

Beng said he’s aiming to create a neighborhood cafe that works as a “third space” for guests who want a place to study, work, or hang out. The shop will center on boba tea and coffee, with an atmosphere designed to feel clean and comfortable for longer stays.

The menu will focus on tea-based drinks and coffee, with desserts and small bites. Beng said guests can expect Hong Kong-style bubble waffles and Japanese taiyaki, with options that can be paired with ice cream.

The shop also plans to offer snack-style items such as popcorn chicken and wings as snacks for guests. Beng said the long-term plan is to expand into more bakery items and a morning menu after the concept is established.

Beng, who previously worked at Starbucks for about six years, said he wanted to bring “an Asian spin” to a cafe format in Stockbridge.

Additionally, creating a hands-on, personal 3rd space is important to Beng. “I wanted to have a brick and mortar store where you could come in, the owner knows you by name, he knows your order by heart,” Beng told Business Debut.

Opening Timeline

The business is targeting a January 2026 opening, pending final permitting, health department approval, and fire inspection sign-off, Beng said.
