Saigon on Main Opening This Week in Rocky Mount

ROCKY MOUNT, NC — Saigon on Main is preparing a soft opening this week at 139 SE Main St, Rocky Mount, NC 27801, pending final inspections, owner Nancy Nguyen told Business Debut. Nguyen said the soft opening will include discounts to encourage first-time visits.

What to Expect

Guests can look forward to a casual Vietnamese concept in downtown Rocky Mount. Nguyen said the team plans a soft opening period with promotional deals so guests can sample the menu. “We’re planning a soft opening with good deals so folks can try the food,” Nguyen told Business Debut.

The design of the restaurant was lead by co-owner Dash Chavez, who shared that they aimed for a modern yet comfortable atmosphere with natural textures and warm color palates.

"The space was really designed to be welcoming… not to make anyone feel like ‘this is too fancy for more’ or ‘I can’t afford this’. A guests could come in for a quick meal or stay and talk and enjoy their experience," Chavez said.

Menu and Vision

Per the restaurant’s website, expect signature pho, banh mi sandwiches, spring rolls, and egg rolls among the opening offerings.

Opening Timeline

Nguyen said the team is targeting this week for a soft opening, contingent on inspection approvals. “We’re aiming for this week or next, pending inspections,” she told Business Debut.

Hours

Initial hours under consideration: Monday 12–8:30 p.m.; Tuesday–Thursday 11:30 a.m.–8:30 p.m.; Friday–Saturday 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m. Sunday hours are to be announced. Nguyen noted these may be adjusted during the first several weeks based on demand.
