Do you know what Rule G is? It's the rule prohibiting railroad employees from drinking on the job. Owner Ralph Rapa is creating a space inspired by railroading that flies in the face of this prohibition.

A new micro brewery is on the cusp of opening soon in Coconut Creek. We covered it briefly in our weekly newsletter, but we're here to shed more light on the excitement.

Rule G Brewing Company is coming to the area by a 3rd generation railroader Ralph Rapa. And his vision for the new concept is ambitious. The 2,900 square foot space will have an array of antique railroad accents and furnishings.

The rustic ambiance and design is apparent in the renderings below:

To suit the rugged theme, Rapa will serve a menu of pub fare that will include elk and bison sausage, pierogis, German pretzels and much more. The drinks will include a wide range of house-brewed beers, from dark to light, and seltzer. For other guests, they'll offer wine and wine-based cocktails.

Rule G Brewing Company will have a family friendly atmosphere until 7 PM each night. They'll host live entertainment and performances frequently, Rapa reported.

Guests and regulars can join the mug club, in which Rule G will store a uniquely designed mug for you. Then, you can use it at their bar and get discounts on whichever beers you choose.

Rapa, after a career in railroading, also has a heart for giving to the community. Rapa shared that they will set up a 501c3 charity for the benefit of railroaders and first responders.

To get a better look at the brand, visit their website or social media. Rapa intends to open mid-December at: 4800 W Hillsboro Blvd, Coconut Creek, FL 33073.
